The Saturday Football Club is now back after a period of 'Lockdown'. As you would expect, we have had to bring in additional measures to ensure everyone keeps safe. Therefore our administration is now all on-line.
If you would like to join the Saturday Football Club, please click on the link below to register your child(ren). The registration will then be approved and you will receive an e-mail confirming this.
In terms of payment, our costs have not increased and you will be asked to pay £3 per session. However, to reduce our admin, you will be asked for a payment of £18 which will cover 6 sessions, if for any reason you are not able to attend, you will not be charged for the missed session, your payment will simply be rolled over. So you only pay for the weeks you attend!
Saturday Football Club - Registration
The Saturday Football Club has probably become the largest youth football club in terms of participation for boys and girls in Lowestoft on Saturday mornings and a project which we are extremely proud of.
The 21st season will start at 10am on Saturday 8th September 2021.
The Club is open to anyone over 4yrs of age (some discretion is allowed if a child is near to 4yrs of age, please ask) to school year 3, regardless of their experience, ability, gender and ethnicity. We will be opening up the club to older age groups just as soon as the lockdown measures are eased a little more.
We are at Barnards Meadow (off Peto Way) from 10.15am - 11.30am. You will need to register your child's attendance when you arrive, so we know who is at the club should we have to deal with track and trace, there are QR codes around the venue, which we also ask you to scan upon arrival.
We also require you to remain with your child throughout the session, to take care of any slight knocks they may receive. Our coaches are first aid trained and will step in if necessary, this ensures that we comply with the covid measures relating to injuries.
You will also need to bring a water bottle and a small bottle of sanitiser, labelled with your child's name.
The boys and girls are split into age groups with girls having the opportunity to join a girls only group (F.A. Wildcats) if they would prefer (between June and August 2021). The coaches are all qualified to a minimum of F.A. Level 1 and have all been DBS checked.
For every week the children attend, they receive an 'appearance' with trophies and medals being presented as the child reach 10, 30, 50, 75, 100 etc. appearances.
Another pleasing aspect is the number of mums and dads, who, having stood and watched their son / daughter, and decided to become involved themselves, this is something that we really appreciate and before we know it the parent is taking their coaching courses and is a fully fledged coach ready to put something back into the community for the benefit of the local youngsters.
