4. The Clubs Pathway To Adult Football..

The Club prides itself on providing exit routes for our youth players to continue to play for Waveney F.C. into their late teens and beyond.

This season we have a range of adult teams beginning with the Saturday 1st Team who play in the Premier Division of the Anglian Combination and the Reserves who are currently playing in Division 3, managed by Bradley Fisher.
We also have 2 teams playing more local football in the Lowestoft and District League divisions 1 & 2. The Waveney 'A' team managed by David Ascenco, is a development team which develops youth players (16yrs and above) into the adult football environment whilst the AFC Waveney team managed by Stuart Aldous, are more experienced players.

The senior team, managed by Michael King contains many players who played for Waveney F.C. as youth players, and it is rewarding when we can offer our younger players the opportunities to continue their football career with Waveney F.C. at a level they deserve.

Further success can only be achieved by co-operation and with the Waveney 'A' and AFC Waveney teams prominent in the Lowestoft & District League, working together to form a solid foundation of younger players to sustain the success of the club at adult football.

Those of a certain age (over 35yrs) can now continue their football careers as we have a Veterans team managed by Bob Fitzpatrick.
There is also a very popular 'Walking Football' (over 55yrs) session on a Saturday morning between 8.45am to 9.45am at Barnards Meadow.

For the females, we field a very young Ladies team next season who will compete in the Norfolk Women's league.

Finally, and probably our most rewarding initiative of recent years is the development of not one, but two disability teams - 'Waveney Lodgers' named after the collaboration between Waveney F.C. and education centre 'Boston Lodge' are managed by Bob McCartney and compete in regional tournaments.

We hope that we have covered every angle, so if you want to play adult football and be proud to continue to wear the Gold / Black shirt, you can achieve this for years to come with Waveney F.C
