Why volunteers are needed
Volunteers fulfill a very wide range of roles in many community sports clubs. They are often indispensable to the success of the club.
Volunteers help to:

  • Keep the organisation running

  • Develop the activities

  • Organise events

  • Coach

  • Manage the money

  • Represent the organisation

  • Administer the club.

What roles are undertaken?
Typical volunteer jobs include: secretary, treasurer, membership secretary, fixtures secretary, coach, child protection officer, social secretary, publicity officer, webmaster, etc.

Why do people volunteer?
Understanding how and why people volunteer to assist your club will help you to provide them with right support and recognition.
