HUGE WELL DONE TO STEVE WOOLSTON

Waveney F.C. recognised the exceptional dedication given by Steve Woolston today by presenting him with the prestigious John High Trophy, which is the club’s principal award given for outstanding commitment to the Club.
Steve is a fundamental part of the Saturday Football Club where he caught the coaching bug 15 years ago when he was a member of the Lowestoft Town youth squad. He has been coaching ever since and has accumulated over 500 weeks as coach to the club’s ‘Little Lions’ club. Most of the clubs current youth players started playing football in the ‘Little Lions’ club and he has seen some of his older players now move into adult football.
The trophy was kindly presented by Gary High, who was representing the High family, who have been valued supporters and sponsors of the club for many years. Fittingly the trophy was presented at the Saturday Football Club in front of the children, parents and coaches who came together to show their appreciation and acknowledge the commitment for one of the clubs most valued coaches.
